MADE IN KIBERA TEAM 

Made in Kibera Production team consists of of Erick Mutunga, Philip Phlexible Oyoo, Simon Sikote and Geoffrey Ochieng. A group ofartists doing different kinds of art form within Kibera from Kibera Creative arts ( KiCA).

We are a young team, a ghetto family inspired by the surrounding reality that has been guided by the three great P’s of life: passion, patience and a positive attitude towards all. Being raised in Kibera we saw the need to transform the community through the arts. Consequently, today our Kiberan Dream, to run the first Audio-Visual Production studio in the heart of Kibera has been achieved. A team that has overcome all obstacles and gone against all odds to prove that all is possible when one is determined and focused on their passion.

PHILIP OYOO

CEO & MUSIC PRODUCER 

Born and raised in Kibera, he is interested in music and started during his childhood. He has studied Music Production at Homeboyz Multimedia Talent Academy, vocals at Kenya Music Conservatoire, and piano classes at Kamata Music School.  Moreover, he worked in Sanaa Zote Production as the main music producer. And in several organzations such as,Kenya Youth Foundation(KYF), TATUA Kenya, Action Network for the Disabled (ANDY), YMCA, GreenCard Mtaani among others. Currently he is the  organising Secratary  of Kibera Creative Arts(KiCA). 

GEOFFREY OCHIENG

VIDEO AND CONTENT MANAGER

Geoffrey Ochieng also known as Oyoo is a standup comedian, actor, entertainer, scriptwriter, video editor and 3D animator. Born and raised in Kibera he was crowned the funniest man in Kenya on TopComic; the first comedy competition that was aired by NTV in 2009. More than 2000 Kenyan comedians participatedin TopComic. Geoffrey has worked with a number  of organizations both inside and outside Kibera such SHOFCO, Ghetto Light Youth, GYFF, Kenya Kona, Heartstrings Kenya just to mention a few. He is the current chairman of  Kibera Creative Arts (KiCA).  

SIMON SIKOTE

MARKETING AND PR MANAGER

Simon or Chwani was Born and raised in Kibera. He is a music and creative artist and community football coach. He has worked with different organizations such as Drugs Fighters, Gyff, LYSA and YADA. He is one of the founders of GYFF, LYSA and KiCA. He has been training the young ones from Kibera community arts and sports and has been helping in mentorship programs. Currently, he is the project coordinator of Creative Arts(crafts) department and the financial manager of Kibera Creative Arts (C.B.O)

ERICK MUTUNGA

LEGAL AND GENERAL ADMINISTRATOR

Erick achieved a University Diploma in Technology. He is an actor, a writer and a learning stage acting director. He is a peer educator, mentor and life skills trainer. He has worked with different organisations within and outside Kibera such as Ticah, Bridging Ages Kenya, Gyff, Light Mtaani, Ghetto Jeducates. He is also part of the founding members of Kibera Creative Arts(KiCA) organization. Overall he is a young talent that is determined to transform the life of youths in Kibera and Kenya at large using art and mentoring young ones through positive living.
